Parents Jailed For Children Wearing Shock Collars
CUMBERLAND GAP, Tenn. - The Claiborne County sheriff's office said the abuse happened at Wayne and Rebecca Burkhart's Cumberland Gap home.
Police said Wayne Burkhart would make his children wear an electric shock collar for dogs, when they misbehaved.
Investigators said his wife, Rebecca, violated her duty as a mother, by failing to report the crimes.
The department of children's services took the Burkhart children, who range in age from 11 to 18, into its care.
