What are we doing to our country? And this is considered "progress"? No wonder their are millions and millions of pounds of tainted meat being recalled :( :( :mad:

Alabama health officials have identified 212 workers who have tested positive for tuberculosis at a single poultry plant owned by one of the largest processors in the U.S.

In two batteries of skin tests last month, given to 765 fresh processing employees at the Decatur, Ala., plant owned by Wayne Farms LLC by the State Department of Public Health's Tuberculosis Control Division, 28 percent were found to be infected, including one with active tuberculosis disease, which is contagious. Doctors have yet to evaluate X-rays for 165 current workers who tested positive to determine if any more are contagious.

The testing was prompted by an earlier active TB case – a former Wayne Farms worker.

Both employees with active TB are Hispanics born in countries where the disease is prevalent, heath officials said.

Yep-- we spent 100 years working hard to become one of the highest standard of living countries in the world--eradicating many of these diseases and social problems from society--- and now our current government has us on fast track to throw all that work away and become a third world country :( :( :mad:
 
Makes you wounder what we as farmer's have done for ourselves independently to survive,there's only a handful of people really trying to work to keep our lands for farming? The rest are just selling because we can't afford the taxes to feed the world.Seems like everything we grow goes oversea's for 10 times the money and where does that leave us?Broke as usual.But we still hire immigrants because their the only ones that will do the work cheap. So who's really at fault, the farmer trying to save money on labor or the polotician's who want a clean house. Make's you want to go back to basics and raise your own food and make your own things.
