I bought this cow at the sale. When I got home I glanced at the brand release papers and noticed that this cow had one of my neighbor's brand. I called him and told him that I bought his cow. Cows don't have names here but this Charolais cow came from Charlie. So she is Charlie the Charolais. The only Char cow I bought this year. She calved just before dark last night. I know Charlie (the neighbor) has a few Char cross cows. But all of his bulls are Black. Well this calf has it's snow camouflage on. It is white as snow. I don't know who owns the bull but he is most certainly a Charolais. One thing about range land. You need to keep good bulls because you never know if they are going to breed your neighbors cows and that is a two way street.

Since most folks around here run black bulls, you have pretty good odds of getting a black calf with your one and dones. I have one red longhorn looking cross cow that spit out a nice black polled bull calf last week. She is a nice good uddered cow that doesn't look real old until you try to find her teeth. 😕

Isn't technology great!

If it's older than 2 weeks it's most likely outdated and they just want you to buy another.

I want to go back to a corded phone with an answering machine....

The wife found a card reader that was pretty cheap so she ordered one. If it works we will have to take the memory card out of the camera and plug it into the computer. I have thought about getting a new bigger better camera. But this little Olympus Stylus 1010 fits in the shirt pocket and has a 8x zoom lens. it is a handy little thing.
