I know yall are going through a horrific drought and i was wondering how much cull/slim sell our cows are bringing on average. A neighbor trucked about 100hd up here from south texas and i was just wondering.

If your neighbor got em in south Texas he didnt get those prices. North Texas prices usually are nickle to a dime higher. Hope this helps
 
Talked to a guy who just had 40 young, 6 yrs. and under, cows brought up from Enid, Ok. 15 bred and 25 open. Said they were in pretty good condition, not too thin, good looking cows. Delivered for $.70.
 
if you got the money an the feed you can get bred cows for .50 to .60 a lb.all you have todo is sitt back an pick out the good 1s.
 
Yes. Turn them next spring when everyone is looking.

It sure would be nice to be sitting on 1000 bales right now - in more ways than one. You could put your egggs in several baskets.
 
here a few weeks ago a set of 20 bred reg angus young cows sold for less than $1100 a hd.thats a steal for reg cows i dont care who you are.the guy that told me about the cows sold out that day.an i told him you got the hay you should bought that bunch of cows.but he wants to sell most of his hay this winter.
