Cattle weight tapes

How accurate are the weight tapes for cows? I just taped my black baldy cow and she was 93" around! That's 1800# plus pounds! I know she's big/ but that's really big! I also taped a 8 month old steer we weaned a few weeks ago and his measurement was 68" which according to one chart I have that is 903#. I've been trying to keep from feeding them too much but she is just an easy keeper I think. The others with her aren't big like she is!

tapes have to be right tight up against front legs & drawed snug. on cows & bulls they are quite accurate, but on steers they always seemed to read about 100 lbs to heavy on my place.
