Have any of you had experience with any of the offerings on eBay?

Haven't had any experience with the ones on ebay. We just bought a set from Massload and have been well satisfied thus far.

There was once a set on eBay that were the old fashion balance scales complete with all the weights. I bid on them but someone sniped me at the final minutes.

I have a set of pallet scales that are digital, they were bought new and they have been a real problem. I have had them worked on twice and they are currently non-functional again. Based on my experience with "electronic" scales, I wouldn't buy them from eBay.

Just my opinion.

If you are looking at electronic scales check if they are NTEP approved. The legal for trade scales are NTEP approved. In Louisiana if you want to have your scale approved by the state Weights and Measures it must be an NTEP approved scale.
