Lots of talk about costs and business case analysis scenarios in this forum as of late.

All I can say is, if you aint making money are these prices, its a good time to get out.

You got that right man. No excuses right now. Now people like old CB who gave themselves a big a$$ raise and a bonus because of the high prices will probably be raising sand about losing money again.

I would like more ground but everyone wants to price it on what cattle/farm prices are doing and I won't mortgage on today's prices. It would be really easy for anyone who was already in before the prices went through the roof to over-extend themselves as cattle prices have raised a lot of people's net worth but all it takes is a few years of growth of the national cowherd to put prices back where we're used to seeing them and the mortgage is still there...

Those losing money in the cattle business are also the one's that sign up for full coverage federal crop insurance, have 5 mortgage, and 3 government grants.

yes every1 is making good money fooling with cattle.that in turn causes the expenses go as well.because the businesses want their peice of the pie.

Looks like I need to be keeping up with the Jones here! Turnip green sandwiches are getting old. A few of the pecans I have been cracking aren't rotten.

Works awesome until you need to pull that tape back off. Just don't make any ruh rohs like I did.
