wheat is coming up really good in my area..Ive mentioned before, Ive got rye out my ears right now..turned my sheep out on it and they havent even made a dent in it yet. Im not doing the happy dance on getting oodles of rain yet though..I think it's going to be another DRY year..I am thinking of hauling the two weanlings we were planning to feed out to the sale..afraid of getting stuck with no pasture again and having to feed damn hay...
Sidenote, I am having a big demand for my sheep recently..am being told alot of these guys sold out during the drought of their cattle..prices are too high right now to replace them, so they are looking at smaller, more drought resistant stock..i.e. Dorper sheep...
