We have 5 bred heffers which got into some moldy hay and are now coughing. Any suggestions on treatment?

Jim, Welcome to the site. The obvious, is to get the hay out of there [burned]. Cattle can tolerate quite a lot of dust and mold. This case must be extreme. Unless there's in infection, I'm not sure if anything can be done but, hope they don't abort. How much cough? How do they acted otherwise? good appetites? Someone else may have had experience with this. Maybe give your Vet a call.

Feed them some Aureomycin pellets with their feed and they should be fine in a few days. You should be able to get bags from your feed mill and the nutritionist there will give you the exact ration to mix.

I mix pellets with grain when I have to use it.
