That was a first for me too. Our calico female likes to put her paw under the running faucet and thenlick the water. She refuses to drink out of a bowl, dumps it. She will, however, drink out of a jar - ?

Have never known a tabby to do that, I had a Persian cross, that liked water, he would have a bath once a month and be blow dried with the hair dryer but Persians are known for that.
