Case 685 Shifting Problems

I just bought a used 685 that appears to have the wrong shift knob on it and also presents the wrong shift sequence. Can anyone tell me where each gear is? I am assuming that first is on the bottom left of the H if you are sitting in the seat can anyone confirm this? Please excuse the ignorance as this is my first time owning a tractor.

If the shiter is beside the dash, and a five speed .then reverse is all the way over left top straight back is first... center up is second center back is third all the way right up is forth, and straight back is fifth...

Yep, but I looked the 685 up on tractor data looks like its a power shift 8 forwards and 4 reverse ..mine is a old 664 sometimes I think I've got a Muncie rock crusher for a trans.. :cowboy:

I have an 885; don't know if it's the same or not but the gear pattern is:
