I think it would but unfortunately for me breyers lactose free ice cream is all i can eat

In much of the world, an empanada is called a hand pie and there's a hundred+ ways to make them. I prefer them with meat filling but ate 1/2 of one a couple months ago filled with Flan. It was beyond wonderful but way too rich for my glucose monitor to handle so I gave the other 1/2 to my wife.

Looks good. A fried pie by any other name is still pretty good eating. Never had one made with flan but growing up in southern New Mexico I've had many other empanadas. I think apricot may be my personal favorite.
