in Ferndale, WA then dismantle it and ship it north to Manitoba. That way they can process the cattle on their side of the border ship boneless cuts into the US markets. This facility can harvest and process 300 head per day.
 
Desparate times call for desparate measures. That beef will not only go to the U.S. of A. - it will go to the world markets that are slowly opening up. Witness Hong Kong - the thin edge of the wedge.

I for one will never ship live cattle to the open market again - it will and is now going to a regional processor that provides me with a better price. They box their meat and ship it to wherever.

Good on them. Unfortunately when a plant moves, local jobs go down the tubes.

I believe it is. This will be a good addition to the town for the town of Dauphin. Nice place but it could use a bit more industry to hold its young people there.

Sure hope they get it.Be good for Dauphin to pick up somes jobs..
