I am looking into other grain feed combos. my bulk feed purina impact grower went from 160 ton to 220. they use a fish oil as a limiter. I have talked to land of lakes and they have a different ration and limiter all together. There is a ration I have feed before. It has corn chops,rice bran, cotton seed, corn gluten, soy hulls. It is fairly high in fiber. In talking to the LOL people, they use high fiber as a limiter. My question, if you put out bulk feed to bulls that are used to eating grain but it has a limiter, If you put this out free choice would they stop eating when they are full. How does the high fiber limit consumption. Any suggestions welcome.

High fibre isn't really a "limiter" . They will still eat till they are full- its just that the amount of "nutrition" they can consume is limited by it having less nutrients/lb and more filler --

It should cost less/lb than the high energy oil limited feed- but the cattle need to eat substancially more to get the same results..
