Calving

started calving on the 12th of August and as of this evening I have 58 calves on the ground in 17 days not half way done but getting close I just hope they continue this way 30 hfrs and 28 bulls so far

Had 11 today

Thats alot of calves.

I have 96.8% of the cows calved out in 50 days
the last few will take forever it seems they are running 51% hfrs and 49% bull calves I wish it was like last yr I had 63% bulls

now you just cant beat a heavy heifer calf crop.so far ive had 48% bulls an 32% heifers.i have 1 more cow to calve.

I am supprised at the herd sizes that I in the post I read on these forums. I would not know what to do with my self if I calved less than 500 hd. Cows were bred to start calving Aug. 2, we had 520 in the first 28 days.
