That's a great set of calves you have coming along. We are just finishing weaning and don't start calving until early January. Do you always breed for fall calves or have spring calvers also?

We just sold off the last fall calver a few months ago. Now just working on getting a tighter calving window. As of now we have calves due Jan 8- April 14. I'm shooting for Jan 15-March 31 for next season.

Thank you. We breed for fall calves only and shoot for about a 60 day window but always seem to have a few late arrivals. We typically A.I. right after Thanksgiving and turn the bulls in two weeks later. And some of the cows we don't A.I. get turned in with the bulls around the day we breed.

They all look really nice. Do you sell ever sell heifers?
Yes we do. We have been enrolled in the Show me select program for the last few years which is a bred heifer sale put on through the University of Missouri Extension. We are always open to private treaty as well.

This is another little bull calf I'm liking a lot. He is sired by True North. I've had a hard time trying to get a good picture of him!20210917_181223.jpg20210917_181127.jpg
And this picture i just like. This is a heifer calf and I'm not sure who she is sired by. 20210917_181048.jpg

We are at the tail end of calving, had 5 to tag and weigh in the last 24 hrs, 2 Musgrave Exclusives, 1 GAR Ashland, 1 Bruns Blaster and one by a Musgrave Apache bull of mine. Looking for some early spring growth now, clovers are looking promising.

Ken
How do you like your Musgrave Exclusive calves. I have been considering using some Musgrave bulls
