Calving in the Snow/Fog

Heres a few pics I snapped this morning while feeding- of our continual fog... Because of the thick snow pack we still have we lotted all the cows for now.. Looking out to the south past the bales I sat out yesterday...

Looking to the north--- looks the same :roll: ...

Cows coming out of the fog following the hay truck trail...

Two of the heifers AI calves-both sired by OCC Magnitude... 830 is a bull calf out of a Cole Creek Juanada Lad 81T daughter... 845 is a heifer calf out of a Bannon of Wye daughter...

Now these pictures were taken when I checked cows at noon..Still foggy.. Calf found a semi dry spot behind a snowbank to take a nap..

Few cows coming and going to water...Still Frosty..

Fog never lifted at all yesterday...Most the time visibility was less than 100 yards...During the night it was so thick you couldn't see thru it with the spotlights on the calf checks....I used the 4 wheeler and had spotlight- so I wouldn't run over anything....

Today its pea soup again today- with 96% humidity- 18 mph wind- 30 degree temp-- and the weather guessers are saying it may not lift for a day or two... :shock: :(

I've just never seen a winter like this before...Since Christmas- this part of the Big Sky Country hasn't seen much sky.... :?
