I had a pruebred Black Angus bull calf born on 3/5/13 at first he seemed fine. Then a few days ago I noticed he was kinda starting to scour. I carried him to the barn and mom followed. Upon sitting him down I noticed he was walking on th top of his left rear foot(knucked over). He seems to lay around a good bit. I gave him Calf Guard,1/2cc Draxxin, and 1/2 Scour Blouse. What do you all think?? BTW it's been very wet here and I did not dip his navel. Thanks B&G

I am assuming that you gave him draxxin because he had a fever (?), if yes then draxxin is a good choice. If no fever, you may have exacerbated the scour problem. Good thinking on the scour meds ~ it never hurts to hit that hard. Hard to trouble shoot if there may be a naval (or any) infection if we don't know the temp. His walking knuckled over ~ is that a new thing? He was walking fine at birth? I like that you are keeping him with his mom. He is in a dry place now?
