Last night it got down to 52 before I went to bed and I noticed my month- old calf shivering. He eats good, no runny nose, no cough, just shivers. Is this how he is keeping himself warm? Im worried that if he is shivering now, how is he gonna handle the weather when it gets down to 0...Why is he shivering and will he be okay in colder weather? No mama to keep him warm. Just a lean to shelter. :?

Yes, that is how he is keeping himself warm. You may want to think about putting some clean straw or bedding in the lean-to, as that will help to trap his body warmth and keep him warmer. He will grow a winter coat, but no sense in him getting chilled as it could cause him to get sick.
