calf losing hair

ever seen this, i have a month old calf that i noticed has lost the hair from his navel & back down the inside of his legs, goes down the inside of his legs about 8 inches. the skn looks pink & smooth. any suggestions. he is running out on big pasture with a lot of other pairs

I had this happen a couple of years ago. Two real nice bull calves. Vet said urine burn. But, I agree with ckc1586 lice. Do you have a large bird population? Is there a dry shed with these birds?

I've often wondered how young can we treat with ivermec?

had a white calf do this a couple of years back... except he lost his hair over about 75% of his body.. not all at one time, but as one area would start to grow back another would start losing it..

was told it was photosynthesis sp? took him about 4-5 weeks to get leveled out.
