calf losing hair on head

I have a newborn calf about three weeks old that is losing its hair on it head. Around it's ears and down to it's jaw, and on it's nose mainly. Any ideas or suggestions? I have another calf about a week older and it's fine.
Is it something to be concerned about? Just never seen this before.

Other than the hair lose she appears/acts normal. Growing, gaining weight, nursing like any other calf.

I have seen that on a calf I had last year. Mine grew out of it with 100% recovery.

What breed and color...some times the black calves will be born brown and shed off black...

Sometimes if they`ve had a fever it will cause that. I`ve had it happen before and it will grow right back by the time it`s weaned you`ll never know it happened.

Limosin sire Angus cross cow. Brown calf.

Had one earlier this year and it was losing most of the hair on the top of its head. It all grew back fine and you would never know.

rain scald or fever usually.

My kids lost hair as babes.. Lot of times from it rubbing off in the crib. Wasn't anything to worry about...

I've seen them lose hair on the face from all the milk left on their face after nursing.
