Yesterday, from 12 AM to 11 PM we had 15 calves born, 3 right at midnight and the rest waited for the sun to come up. From 12 AM to 6 AM this morning we've had another 3. Only had to mess with 2 of them, one was a bit early and weak, and another was a heifer with a big calf, had to pull him. Now we have to process all of them, and that is a job in itself... Supposed to snow tonight and tomorrow.....

That is busy times! As long as they're all healthy it's not too stressful, but the sick ones are tough. I have one heifer I'm expecting still and then we're in the 2nd cycle and will have some time to do other things

Second cycle starts about Apr 1 here, but I know for sure that we are getting some early ones already. We pulled the Angus bulls and turned Char's out for the second cycle and we've got a couple tans already, from that bunch. But we're starting into the Custom cows now, and that should keep us busy for Apr into May....

my 2nd cycle starts Apr 1st as well, but this Limo bull seems to have about a 4 day shorter gestation time, so I might start seeing some earlier ones as well.

Waiting on my heifer Kama to calf.. she had a HUGE moving baby bump the other day, and her ligaments have been relaxing for 2 days already.. We have a beautiful day here, perhaps this is it!
