What is the average cost for bush hogging per acre in east Texas ? (Texarkana area). I have approximately 12 acres that need it. Thanks!

Most contractors charge by the hour, $50 to $65 an hour depending on tractor size, with a 14 ft. Batwing 12 acres could be cut in 2 to 3 hours. It may be a move in time because of small acreage.
Their are some contractors that use a small H.P. tractor with a 5ft cutter and they charge $50 an hour , they can only cut 1/2 to 1 acre an hour. You will need to shop around for best prices.

your place would be around the $25 an ac area more or less plus maybe travel time.

$25 an acre sounds about right but some will want to check out the property for obstacles before quotes a rate (ditches, large rocks, number of trees ...).

depends what is being mowed. If lots of hardwood saplings, some stumps and rough stuff that takes some time--$35-$45/acre here.
If no stumps and really light stuff that isn't likely to tear up equipment, $25/ac.
If junky (dang tee posts or concrete chunks) might be more--or they just refuse the job--I would.

you do somethings before you pull in with the shredder you drive the place 1st.if it appears tobe good you run with the bucket pretty low to catch things that could mess you up.
