well i brought a friends bull over middle of last month to run with my girls after 3 weeks i have seen the heifers ridding the bull , but never seen the bull ridding them yet ,
got a steer about 600 lbs trying to ride them they just walk away from him
sopose its to hot for him ?
my buddy says he has all ways worked at his place, maybe he's home sick
what to do?

I havent seen one of my bulls jump the cows in a few years and have only had a couple cows miss. probably working at night or also could be that with the heat your cows could me slow on cycling.

Is he a middle aged to older bull? A young bull will wear himself out chasing a cow that's just starting to come into heat and not ready yet. An older bull knows when shes ready and won't waste his time until she is. Kind of like a teenaged boy and an older wiser man. By the way, the others are probably right as well, the night time is the right time.
