Hi everyone.
I have a good angus bull that's about 6 yr. old . We just had a black baldy bull born that was sired by our angus bull. I'm considering keeping the calf as a bull to breed our cows .By the time the young bull is ready to do his job ,the older one will be 7 or 8 yr. old. What age do most of you replace your bulls? Would it be ok for this young bull to breed a heifer from another cow the angus bull bred? THANKS

First you need to evaluate that new bull.
Is he that great that he is worth keeping?
Most people strive to contuealy improve there herd.
Are you certain keeping this young bull will do that?
I will keep a bull until he can no longer perform.
