Bull Rentals/Leases

There are people that lease bulls. I know several, but not Arkansas.

I don't know your reasons, but just like leasing anything else....most of the time your better off buying. The leasor has a hard time moving a used bull. About all the leasie gains is no facility damage from bull not being there year round.

A lot of times, it is used to cut a breeder's losses on a bull. If bull is valued at $4,000, doesn't sell but someone wants to rent for $1200, then when the bull returns and is sold for slaughter, the loss is much smaller. In some cases, you might even be money ahead.

There is a guy in my area that does nothing but rent bulls out. Has a great big sign on the highway. So I guess there must be a real demand for it.

There's demand alright. This ranch alone rents around 3000 a year

Word of mouth works around here. Someone needs a bull and someone else has one they need to place somewhere for a while. You can get into trouble when there's no contract worked out and something happens to the bull. But thankfully I've never had to deal with it.
