One I heard about was mixing portland cement into the peanut butter.. gives them a good bellyache.. never tried it

For electric methods, i think an electric fencer would do the job pretty good, and not make a stink

Heard that you could set a pan of coca cola out and they would lap it up and die because they could not get rid of the gas.

GB.. I've NEVER seen more than one caught in a trap!!.. trust me we catch enough of them around here

Not really for rats, but I am having luck with squirrels by snaring them. They got smart to the box trap and body traps I had out.

I had to use something that wasn't baited. Caught a few song birds in baited traps and that didn't make anyone happy.
