My Gelbvieh bull is a year old and I felt brave enough to go ahead and do the BSE that I had to complete and pass in order to get my TAEP rebate. I had to have it done and the paperwork in by May. Anyway for a virgin bull that young he done well.Motility was at 70% and Morphology was at 90% :banana: . The vet said that the Motility number would probably increase if tested again because the sperm cells tested had been "sitting" in his pipes for an extended time. He should be raring to go on a dozen head or so in June. This is a big relief to me. He measured the scrotum at 41cm. He will be a big boy. He weighed in at 1,255 so he gained almost 100 lbs since I weighed him a month ago. I remeasured his hip height and this time I got 53.5" which is a little better than I did last month. That puts him a solid 7 which is a little bigger than I would like.
Oh.......for those that asked my son-in-laws sister (the pro photographer) used him as a model again this week. She will be sending me the pics and I will post them. I know they will be better than the ones I took with my cell phone :mrgreen:
