I currently have a 6' Bush hog 3 point medium duty and a 12' batwing Land Pride. With all Rotary cutters keep them out of the rocks, stumps, etc. and they will last.
With 300 acres twice a year I would want at least 15' and heavy duty. Some you can rebuild the gear boxes and some you have to buy a complete gear box if they go bad so check that. A neighbor tore one of his Deere gear boxes up and it cost $1500 for the box as no parts available.
