Brown Magic? Never heard of it. What's it supposed to do?

Not sure but I think it is colored adhesive.
Ah. Thanks. In that case Sullivan's Auburn paint might work for you. Here's a link to the website.

http://www.sullivansupply.com/iowa/detail.aspx?ID=11808

It's typically for red calves but it says it can produce a wide range of colors depending on the number of coats applied. I would try it a few weeks in advance and see how it turns out.

P.S. I hope this isn't advertising...

Might just try a regular adhesive from a show supply.

Doesn't work that way Cowboy, not on a dairy animal. They build the toplines to make them straight as possible. Have to have colored adhesive to do that cause last I knew you wern't allowed to add hair or twine.

I figured you could just use the adhesive to build the topline and then cover it with color.

sullivans does have a brown touch up instead of auburn
I only glanced over the site and didn't notice it but I prolly overlooked it.

yeah i normally use the auburn and to build my legs and then finish them off with black finisher but if you have a brown cow it's better then having to keep applying coats of auburn

You're supposed to build with Ultra White, because it is the thickest paint, then cover up with black finisher.

yeah she thats the probelm it makes the jersey and brownswiss and sometimes the milking shorthorns looks like they have a whole different coloured topline

? Are you showing them? Cuz if you are, you dont want to use that.
He is showing them, that's why he wants to use it...to my understanding.

Glover, what made them look a different color? The auburn? Or the brown?

Only if your calf has black legs
