I find it absolutely fascinating how some breed traits (Brahma ears/hump, dairy muscle structure) are so dominant when crossed to beef breeds. Beyond color traits and horns, actual structural characteristic dominance.
Has anyone had a surprise that did not follow the dominance pattern?

Produced these two calves. When he grew up you could see his white tail swishing around from anywhere!

I bred them together, and got lots of white (the calf is from the bull's 7/8th sibling)

And both of their calves always have little white socks on the hind legs.. this one is the daughter of the calf above
