Brake controller

I need to buy a new brake controller. What are you using? Is it a timed delay or proportional controller. I bought a cabin in New Mexico so I will be pulling a trailer over the mountains. Round trip about 1400 miles.thanks

Proportional is only way to go. Tekonsha Prodigy 3 here. Love it. Never had an issue and very easy to change on the fly.

My favorites are the Tekonsha Prodigy controllers. The P2 is my pick, I've got half a dozen of them and a couple of the P3's. The P3 has a lot more bells and whistles, but the buttons tend to get sticky from all the dirt and dust.
