Brahman question

A friend of mine got this cow in a package deal he made on a herd of Angus cows, and sold her to me pretty cheap. What do you guys think of her? I know pictures aren't the best she's 4-5 years old never calved, should be bred but haven't been able to get her checked. I've got no experience with Brahmans so looking at her bag and vulva would any of you be comfortable giving a guess on weather or not she's bred and how far from calving. To me her bag and vulva both appear to have gotten slightly larger within the last 2 weeks. And also with the information I've given how much would y'all be comfortable paying for her?

I'd say your best bet is to get a vet out to preg check her. It's kinda hard to tell from the photos but it looks like maybe she is starting to develop an udder?
 
If she is bred,,she's short bred..Brahman are slow maturing.. But she should have calved ----way--- before now.. What kind of condition has she been in the last couple years??? I'd have a vet check her reproductive system..Might be a twin or have a ovarian cyst.. Also need to check her for STD's

she's a indu type, they all pretty much have that look...not my favorite,but bred to the right bull.. Like a good boned,muscled up Hereford bull,, she'll do... Their great momas
 
She was never ran with a bull, people bought her mother as a bred cow then sold her mother and kept her as a pasture pet for the last 3 or so years, 10-11 months ago she was turned out with the Angus herd as a virgin heifer and ran with the yearling murray grey bull they had up until 2 weeks ago.

I merely said that's what I think of when I hear Brahman, not saying it is or isn't one.
 
It is hard to tell from the photos if she is bred or not. I would have to agree with the advice that has already been given; getting her checked by the vet is the best and quickest way to determine if she is pregnant or open. A friend of mine in Louisiana had some really impressive Brahman x Murray Grey heifer calves a few years back. I hope that she does well for you!

Agh now you just ain't got your head tilted the right way! ;). 4-5 years not bred or calved would scare me like a flood car!
 
I like her. I have had a few like her great mothers. I hope she is bred. Her and MG should make a nice calf. I would watch her after she calves might get a bit hot. Shame someone wasted several productive years. Have a vet shove his had up her butt make sure she is good.
 
Nice looking cow.
I'd get her pregged, if open a few years she may need a shot of gnhr.
A five year old that has never calved is worth exactly kill price, a little more if bred.

That kind of shows your knowledge of Brahman cattle. Not surprising though, most people with big opinions on pit bulls can't pick one out of a line up either.

Never claimed to know them and unless I find myself in a climate suited to them I have no interest in their ugly azzes.

As for pits, I have two living in my house and have for years. Whatcha wanna know?
