I was looking at pictures of when I first got my angus girl, and boy has she changed!

It's amazing how they change . . . just like people. I always hate castrating bulls too soon too.

I saw the potential in the first picture. I wouldn't necessarily call her a show heifer, but she does look like a good heifer with no major flaws. She could have a little more depth of chest and maybe some more bone, but I don't think that's a big deal. I don't think she's pinched as much as she just has good capacity. I hope she does well for you.

Hey, thanks guys! I'm pretty happy with how she's growing up. :D

Blackcowz, no, she's not bred, yet. Due to some complications (not with her) I wasn't able to get her bred when I wanted to have her calve, (early spring '09) so I decided to wait and breed her next year, as much as I wanted her to calve this coming spring. Something with calving in the summer or fall just doesn't set well with me, but I know everybody has their own opinion on that!
I've thought about showing her , but I agree with East Caney there. I don't think she wouldn't do well as far as her length and rear end are. The pictures seem to make her look longer then she really is, but I think she IS improving in that some as she grows. She's perfect for what I need her for, though! :)

Oh, and ga.prime, she's 17 months in the last picture...ya think she's a "good" size for that age? :)
