Boy, Saturday Can't Get here Soon Enough!!

Two weeks ago my Wife had to go out of town to visit her Mom that's in poor health with Multiple Sclerosis. The Kids went with her of course.They had not seen their Granny in about a year.

On that note I've had to fend for myself. Work all day and get home, to feed Dogs, the Kid's Goats, check Cattle, been building a new set of Pens, and 15 other projects.

I usually get home to the smell of supper cooking, kids riding their bikes or playing in their Forts. Man it sure gets lonely up here!

My point is after doing a myriad of chores that she usually does during the day, it's all been on me. If it were'nt for her and the Kids, this place could not function or exist the way it does.It's simply amazing how at times things get taken for granted...So, if your other half helps out on the Farm, like mine does, let them know how much you appreciate them being your "right hand".Think I'll take her out to a nice supper tomorrow night after she gets home!

P.S. I've graduated from Maytag University with honors. That new washer and dryer aint that hard to operate. I even found where she keeps the frying pans. Fried bologna was good the last few nites. :shock:

Yes, I have been interviewing for jobs and my husband is dreading it. I think I have spoiled him having dinner on the table when he gets home, then cleaning up the mess. Not to mention the errands I take care of for him, the shopping and chores. He's been spoiled but it is about to be all over!

ya my wife is in france for 2 weeks Ill soon need a shovel to clean this place out.But I know what crowders talking about can be a lonely place when your alone--but man IT was a good place to raise our kids --My wife went looking for a job about 8 years ago we couldn't make ends meet her first job was with conagra grain when they were in canada( they;ve left now didnt like us canadians I guess) did a few low paying jobs and then got a job as secretary for the R.C.M.P. (royal canadian mounted police) did that for 3 years and decided to try and join the police force she was 43 the fisical test is pretty harsh to pass to get in--when she first started to get in shape , she could hardly run to the end of the lane .wasnt long she was running 5 miles. she was accepted ; and went to Regina Saskatchewan for 6 months (I stayed home with 2 teen age girls kept the farm going ) nieghbours thought I would never manage but we got along ,mind you there were sure places in the house that needed cleaning when she came back pretty bad --Men only clean what we can see ,anyway she was posted close to home it all worked out well. Haveing started out in life as a redneck and believeing that womens place was in the home Ive had to make a few 180 degree turns and it was good for me --Any way Im pretty proud of my wife And I think she must be some role model for my girls.--- so best of luck on your job seach you just never know what can happen

Careful there Crowder, you may get some of us to thinking that you are completely normal. A good stay at home wife is worth at least $100,000.00 a year. Guess we all need reminded every now and then. Don't forget the roses.

I worked most of the time we've been married. I quit my last job last December, working for Adult Protective Services. I just don't like going into crack houses... I've been home since. Son's going off to college and I need to be able to send him some money, so it's off to work I go again!

I know its been tough crowder, but don,t completely crumble. Take it from a more experienced old man, after spending a few days with her mother, my wife is as glad be home as I am to have her home. No mater how much they love their mother living with them for a week is about all they can stand! :shock: :)
