BMR corn

Help Support CattleToday:

I've never had good results with any mycogen corn. For whatever reason they are the only company trying to sell it here.

What are the issues you are having with Mycogen? I've been using REA hybrids and I'm not overly impressed thus far. I was thinking of trying Mycogen and was curious what to expect. The BMR sounds like a good deal but there isn't much info out there other than what Mycogen has posted.

Severe lodging with the mycogen compared to other brands, same field same year.

the dairy makes the farmers plant it here for silage, from what i have seen and heard it does not ton out as well as other brands, this year it went about 19 ton per acre compared to 24 ton of other brands, but they claim the cows milk better on it
