Blue eyed calf

I had a bull calf born Friday to a BA cow. Went out to band and tag and noticed he had blue / gray eyes. Looked pretty freaky on a black calf. I wonder if they will turn brown? This is the first calf I've had born this way. How common are blue eyed calves?

We had one a couple years ago. They stayed grey. Didn't seem to bother him any. I don't think that they are very common.

Have a RA cow with a cat eye on one side. Kinda demon lookin :devil2:.

We have a Simmental cross heifer that had blue eyes when she was born but they turned to brown in about 2 months I THINK, maybe not that lond but maybe longer I can't really remember...but now they are normal looking and you woulda never known.
