Really enjoyed the pics. One of my border collie's is scared to death of the calves but loves to toggle with the bulls. He'll yelp and snip at the bulls but a 200lb calf will chase him out of the pasture :? .

Great set of photos Ron. Blue is very good with the calf.
When I walk amongst the cows I put my young dog down somewhere quiet to wait but invariably a calf will come over and annoy the tripe out of him like that. He is very good though and will only give them a snap on the nose when they are real close.

Bless Blue's heart. How old is he now? That first picture looks like something off of a Horror movie! :lol2: It looks like he is made out of rubber the way he is all pulled back. :lol2:
She is standing over him like she accidentally hurt him, but she didn't mean to do it on picture #2.

Sure is a pretty pasture.

Crazy you had the camera ready at that moment. Cool picture

It was my cell phone. My camera does better. I have seen this episode play out before. He knows he cannot hit back. This time I decided to get pictures.

One of the looks I would love to get is when the calf first approaches. He sits still and is determined not to move. He maintains his position like a statute. The calf extends his nose and gets a smell of this fur ball. Then the calf backs off just a few inches puts his head down in charge mode. That is when Blue breaks form and retreats! Funny what you see.
