Bloodmeal on pasture for cattle

Is there any problem with using blood meal to bring nitrogen to my grass? I am grazing cattle on the pasture right now. I've heard that it can be bad to use blood meal with ruminant animals.

Swine blood meal would be permissable. Don't know how effective it would be. No ruminant blood meal.

Why not just use urea or ammonium nitrate?
