Yeap we start ours out with bloat guard, it's only like 3 to 4 oz per head added in their feed. Used to could buy bloat blocks, but when I asked a year or so ago about those, they said they couldnt get them here....but could get the bloat guard that you add to feed. Also helps to keep down stress when your moving show cattle alot. We start em out on it, usually go ahead and feed it in their feed until we run out (feed 5 heifers) then continue on with feeding until show time. About 2 weeks before show we start adding it again, knowing that they will be shuffled thru the sale barn for palpation and weighing, then back in trailer to the fair grounds, into their alotted pens then moved again when the buyer takes em home. Just one more thing we can do to make things easier. #50 bag lasts for a long time and only costs around $20. Well worth it to not have to worry about somethin bloatin on ya.
