Bitcoin

El Salvador has approved it as an official form of currency in their country. I agree with Clodhopper that it’s used by many in illegal trades; drug trafficking, human trafficking, sex trade, arms dealing, terrorists organizations, etc. because it’s untraceable.
No records and no taxes.

The dollar is govt approved because only they control and manipulate it. The govt doesn't like any thing it doesn't control.
False.
In 1913 Woodrow Wilson (d) signed over control issuing and printing of the US Dollar to The Federal Reserve. Giving them authority to manipulate it as they see fit.
The Federal Reserve - It's Not Federal and there is No Reserve

I was having my morning coffee at deli this AM. This woman comes in heads straight to the bitcoin machine, starts feeding $100.00 BILLS. Nosy me starts counting, 50 of them, $5000.00 bucks!
After she left, I ask cashier, she does that twice a week, $10000.00 a week.
Am I the only 1 that thinks laundering drug money...
DAMN
BINGO!

Congress will not wipe out its own agency or currency. They will wipe out a competitor or some thing they don't approve of in a heart beat.
Congress has no authority over the Federal Reserve.
Neither does the Board of Governors, they are merely an errand boy carrying messages and lip service between the two. Mostly reporting to congress what has happened and what the Federal Reserve has approved with zero input from congress or the federal government.
The Federal Reserve - it's not Federal and there is No Reserve.

Good luck to you if you honestly believe that.
LOL
Perhaps if you studied the past 300 year history of the banks that own the Federal Reserve you'd begin to understand. Not that it would make any difference as their global power is insurmountable.
The Federal Reserve is privately owned. It's not Federal and there is No Reserve.

We had the option to buy into a company our company was starting a few years back. They had us sit through a pretty long meeting about the risk involved with buying stock in startups. The talker pretty much said someone says we think this piece of paper is worth "x" and hope people bite so the company can grow. After thinking about it I kinda understood why people buy bitcoin..... it's all a game based on perception.

I don't need a home run with Bitcoin. Consistent base hits has worked for me but if some one wants to swing for it I don't blame them. It's their money and choice.
True... but
With bitcoin a bunt could have turned into a home run.
