Not at all, I’m Dyslexic. It’s no secret, I have stated it here before.
But I don’t see it as a disability, to me it is a gift from God that I have learned to use very will.

Sir Loin, I did not know that. You write very well. One of our sons is Dyslexic. He had problems reading too. He would see each word as an individual and not as sentence. Everything clicked for him in 8th grade. He will be graduating from Texas Tech in December with his major in History and minors in Archaeology and English.

Many creative people are Dyslexic. Thank you for answering.

You are correct, the “ enemy ( SP) enema hose only goes in approx. “6 inches.
Note: I do not take off points for spelling and/or typos.
But the fluid goes a lot further than 6 inches as it is under pressure.
The 1905 bucket model is held high above the animal being administer to which increases the volume of the column of water and therefore the pressure in the hose.

Did they not teach you this basic concept in high school ? Have you never gone scuba diving? Have you never heard of submarines being crushed by water pressure from diving to deep?

In the most recent models you create the pressure by squeezing the bulb.
For calves I use the same tuber type I use on the other end.
Simply insert the tube in the anus instead of down the throat and squeezing the bottle.

Did it ever cross your mind to put the hose in the other end and allow the gas to escape fromt he rumen?? Sorry to hear about the dyslexia...but you seem to have overcome it well so don't pass it off as a disability and use it as an excuse for your behavior.

Certainly, but only if the inflicted animal was in sever distress. But that is only a temporary relief valve.
That is only treating the symptom but not the cause.
To remove only the gas is doing nothing more then making room for more gas to build up if the real cause is blockage.

Incorrect, cow, nor horses, can throw up. Meaning they cannot purge their stomach of food stuffs. All food tuffs ingested must pass all the way through and come out the back end.
They can however bring up some of the froth that is causing the bloat, when they belch and/or regurgitate food stuff.
As it is the food stuff fermenting that is causing the gas, it is the fermenting food stuff that must be allowed to pass.

Google it SL...you google everything else. I know the answer..you fnd it. Oh and cattle do "throw up" as we might call it. Actually they regurgitate solids and gases hundreds of times a day.
