Bin Laden raid book

It seems a Navy SEAL team member who participated in the Bin Laden kill raid has written a book about the operation. Bad idea on his part from an op-security standpoint. He wrote it under a pen name and the publishing company was supposed to protect his identity. Somehow his real identity was leaked to the AP and they reported his real name and home town in Alaska in the newspaper :mad: :mad: :mad:

These aholes in the press have put this mans life in great jeopardy along with his family. Al Queda jihadist websites are already calling for his death. I don't agree with this SEAL breaking standard protocol and writing a book unvetted by the pentagon but the press publishing his real name, age and home town is beyond the pale. Seal Team 6 should do a little "training" raid on the AP in their off time just for practice :mad:
 
The current Yellow Journalism press has no ethics or integrity, but yeah, the Seal should have done things differently.

OTOH, you'd think even al queda would have enough common sense to leave that sleeping dog known as Seal Team 6 lie. That jihad thing can work both directions, and no one on the globe can do it better than Seal Team 6.
 
I saw where FOX News also reported his name. I am disgusted with them. Normally they are more reliable and ethical. CNN refused to print it (surprise) but I will give them kudos for it.

I have worked with SEAL's on several occasions during my time in the 82nd AB. I have never worked directly with Team 6 but have been on missions with Teams 10 and 4 and I can tell you that those guys were bad a$$. I was always impressed with their individual intelligence level. An average IQ won't cut it.
 
I bet he's on more than one list. Greed makes people stupid. But then again, I thought Obama killed Bin Laden. :???: I gotta quit watching MSNBC.
 
Jo, maybe thats why this guy wrote a book......to make sure that Obama didn't get to say that he pulled the trigger. :lol:
 
Not that I was around then but wasn't there a saying in WW11 'Loose lips sink ships' and 'A still tongue keeps a wise head' all these sayings are quite relevant to this case at the moment..... perhaps he should have left it for a few years to write a book about it, I always thought there was a time limit on writing about secret missions. Most War things seem to have a 25 - 60 year secrecy law.
