Bill Buckner has passed.......

Former MLB All-Star Bill Buckner died on Monday morning, Buckner was 69.

Buckner passed away following a bout with Lewy body dementia.

I remember the missed play he had as it seems like maybe 10 years ago that happened in 1986, that cost the Sox's possibly the World Serious.

I am sure this play haunted him the rest of his life.....

He was unjustifiably made a scapegoat over that play. The game was tied at the time of the error, so the game wasn't over even if he made the play. Then there was the 7th game that the Red Sox also lost. I never understood why he was so vilified over that error. Boston fans. :roll:

My father in law died from LBD in 2013. You're right, nasty form of dementia.
