Picture does him no justice. Nothing to compare him to. He's probably 3 or 4 hours old in that picture, and as big as any calf in the field. Started calving late February. No earthly idea what he weighed. I needed to hit the road, when I got in.

In a month it wont be the weight so much as how much he`ll fight it and move (the weight wont help either though)
 
Calving records are at home, but I think that cow weaned an 880 pound calf last year. She's 10 years old, and went 16 months between calves. I guess when I sell that calf this fall, I'll send her down the road to. If she were to breed back right, I'll probably keep her. She came through winter looking like a butterball, so maybe she'll take.
