Big12 will probably expand

NCAA made a rule change this year, that will allow Big12 to hold a championship game even tho it has only 10 teams, so that hurdle has already been jumped, but looks like the conference is going to expand (football only for now) anyway.
Boise St, BYU, Houston, Colo St, Tulane, Memphis, Cinn, UConn, and South Fla & Central Fla are some of the names being tossed around.
 
I would love to see the big 12 expand to 12 teams and have a conference playoff, 10 teams with a playoff is better, but still not an even field. But who will it be? I think BYU stays on their own like Notre Dame, it would be a great move for Boise St and/or Colorado St, both good teams. Baylor is going to do a nose dive I think. The rest of the teams seem like "also rans" imo, but they would do to make it a 12 team conference. Thanks for the heads up GB, I hadn't seen that yet.
 
That's good. Tired of calling them the Big 12 minus 2. I understand Univ. of Houston wants in. Don't know about the others. The whole conference will never be squat until they quit letting the Univ. of Texas make all the demands and rake off all the money.
 
I really didn't see any of the schools listed that would be a big improvement in quality for Big 12 conference. Colorado St has had it's moments over the years, and of course Memphis had a good year but none on that list finished in the top 25 and only Boise St recieved votes to be included in top 25. Conn finished 6-7 in 2015 (4-4AAC).
Cent Fl went 0-12 in 2015, and South Fla went 8-5 and actually beat a couple pretty good teams atthe time the games were played. Cinncinati almost beat UofH--losing 33-30 in November when Houston was said to be peaking in their season.
I look for Big12 to focus on moving into the Fla recruiting area, but whether they can or should pick up both South Fla and Cent Fla is unknown.
Boise St and Colo St would work for my own preference, but logistically??
