Evidently, we are going to be getting a few inches of someone's snow & ice beginning very late Sun night and it's going to be an unusually cold week for this area. Been a while since we have seen 7*F here.

If it got down to 7 I would begin to think about putting on long underwear....... Well, depending on how long I figured I would be outside.

Our first big snowstorm is suppose to come this weekend, but we'll see. Been told that a few times, but nothing of any real measure. Been the warmest January/February I've seen in a long time.

From what I can make out they are a gel lead acid battery Dave???? I have replaced my lead acid with some lithium iron batteries about 2 years ago now, I am very happy with them. You can pour the charge into them and get them to 100% very rapidly and they give out the power right down to when the inverter cuts them out at about 25% I think. I don't know how they would handle your cold, I think they have to be kept within some limits. Just a bit hard to get your head around the actual size of them and their capacity compared to the lead acid. They seem to work more like a big capacitor.

Like hell it’s not....

Been a long time since I’ve had long underwear. Haven’t needed cold weather gear much since I quit collecting paychecks. Been wearing Christmas pajamas under the jeans the past few days when going out, also dug out my zero hood I haven’t needed for years. Water troughs were froze up yesterday morning, except for the one the float was pulled off of...so I opened up to pond water. Hopefully one of the tractors will start later so I can put out enough hay to make the weekend. My tolerance of hot and cold has diminished a lot over the past few years.
