Friend sent me his pic of a fish they caught this summer.Caught it on a bank pole. weighed 40 lbs I think he said.

May have been last summer. I cant remember what he told me.

The big flat-heads like that are some of the best eating around! The meat is white as can be and there is a lot of it. One that size will make a big fish-fry all by its self!

I agree they are my favorite fresh water fish to eat. That's a good one.

In this part of Texas we call them "ops" . Short for Opelousas . But yes it's also called a yellow cat .
