Had someone trying to prove a young Charolais bull's worth by giving us a few free straws of semen. First 2 calves weighed 95 and 120 :o respectively. I nominate the second cow for mother of the year after that delivery. No such thing as a free lunch. Boone

You're exactly right. A guy down the road from me had a few cows (6-8) to breed and didn't want to buy a bull.

He wound up borrowing a Brangus bull. When the calves came, he wound up pulling every single one. Three were dead if I remember right.

They weren't that big in the body but had a huge head.

On a side note. I know a guy in Canada who doesn't want a calf under 125 lbs.

Takes all kinds I guess. :shock:
