Help Support CattleToday:

I have a Kirst Konverter cylinder that I can use in a Ruger BP-7. Changes from cap & ball to 45 colt in seconds.
and some more serious tools..............

same here. When I was cleaning up my dad's estate in '07, I found a mossberg 20ga in pieces in an old broke down mobile home. Rats and squirells had chewed the stock down to almost nothing but I got a new one. Cleaned it up and put it back together and it shoots fine, tho I really need to find a new barrel for it.

GB> I am all for nostalgia but it seems to me something is lost in translation if one replaces both stock and barrel!
maybe transition would be a better word! What ever suits you is OK.....

As much as I like black powder (or the thought of it) I sort of compare black powder shooting to cooking on a wood stove
when a microwave will do the job. I use boiling water and soap and rinse and oil on hot metal for the barrels and cylinders
if applicable. Gets to be an ordeal unless there is substantial meat involved. The way things are heading I am thinking
about making arrangements for subterranian storage.
